Is SmarterMail the same as Outlook or Gmail?
No. SmarterMail is a mail server that provides your mailboxes and webmail. Outlook and Gmail are mail apps. You can read SmarterMail mail in its own webmail, or connect Outlook and other apps through IMAP or ActiveSync.
Can I use my phone with SmarterMail?
Yes. SmarterMail supports mobile sync through ActiveSync, CalDAV, and CardDAV. Your mail, calendar, and contacts stay in sync across your phone, desktop, and webmail.
Should I host SmarterMail myself?
