What you practised

  • Make a blank form and give it a title that students know.
  • Switch on Make this a quiz on the Settings tab.
  • Set the correct answer and the points for a question in the Answer key.
  • Copy the quiz link and send it to your class.
  • Read the marks on the Responses tab.

In the real Forms, you can also add feedback to each answer. The Individual view on the Responses tab shows the answers of each student.

Frequently asked questions

1Do I need a paid edition to make a quiz in Google Forms?

No. Quizzes in Google Forms are in all Google Workspace for Education editions. This includes the free Education Fundamentals edition.

2Can I send the quiz marks to Google Classroom?

Yes. Post the form as a Quiz assignment in Classroom and switch on Grade importing. Students must answer with their school accounts. When students submit, click Import grades to put the marks in Classroom.

3Can Forms mark short answer questions?

Yes. Add the correct answers to the answer key of a short answer question. Forms marks an answer as correct when it matches an answer in the key. You mark paragraph answers yourself on the Responses tab.
